Trail to the overlook

 One of my favorite places to view the Tonto National Forest is at the top of Hardscrabble road in Pine, Arizona. This painting is part of my series detailing the views at the overlook. I just couldn't resist the beautiful maple trees. Before you get to the top of the overlook this path will lead you through a dense forest of Ponderosa pines finally leading to the top where the views are breath taking. If you time it right you might see some beautiful maple trees as I did on this particular trip.
